British GP
The 2009 British Grand Prix will take place at Silverstone Race Circuit. The British GP, along with the Italian is the oldest contiunally held Grand Prix. Since 1987 Silverstone has continually held the race for Britian but 2009 will be its last year as the FIA believe the facilities do not match the needs of a modern F1 circuit and have chosen to move the race to Donnington.
The race will consist of 60 laps, each of 3.194 miles.
Silverstone circuit has 17 corners and previous British winners have included John Watson (1981), Nigel Mansell (1987, 1991, 1992), Damon Hill (1994), David Coulthard (1999, 2000) and Lewis Hamilton (2008).
