Australian GP

The 2009 Australian Grand Prix is held at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit around Albert Park Lake, Melbourne.  It is the first race of the season, a position it has often held which makes it always an exciting weekend to see how teams shape up after the winter break.  The track is a temporary “street” circuit 3.295 miles in length.

Since the race the stewards have penalised Jarno Trulli for overtaking while under safety car conditions. He has been given a time penalty of 25 seconds which puts him 12 and moves Lewis Hamilton into third.
